    Sustainability

We have our tint tubes, foil and developer bottles taken away by specialist company to render inert and recycle.

We use stock made from sustainable sources and vegetable based printer inks.

All products used are environmentally friendly and replenished by refill.

We use natural fiber calico bags that have a longer life cycle than energy intensive paper bags.

We re-use and recycle wherever possible within our business.

We use organic fair trade coffee and hot chocolate. Growers are paid at a rate that covers production and provides funds for community services.

We use Meridian, a clean energy company that draws its supply from renewable resources. 100% New Zealand owned.

We have a non-toxic vegetable based option that is gentle on skin as well as the environment.

Going green is a personal journey and although it's something we're passionate about, we don't like to preach. But if you're looking for ways to lighten your environmental footprint, here are a few tips we've found easy and effective.

    • — Swap to Meridian Energy, 100 % NZ owned. Uses renewable energy
    • — Read the newspaper on the internet — it saves trees, and it's free
    • — Washing your clothes in cold water uses 80 percent less electricity
    • — Cancel your paper statements and use the internet for bill payments and banking
    • — Walk, cycle, car pool or use public transport
    • — Buy second hand goods
    • — Take reusable bags for shopping
    • — Recycle all plastic, glass and paper — the new big council bins make this super-easy
    • — Get a worm farm — those hungry little snackers are more charming than you'd think
    • — Purchase low-energy light bulbs
    • — Ask your print company to use paper from sustainable forests and vegetable dyes
    • — Reuse envelopes and paper
    • — Refill or recycle your used printer ink cartridges
    • — Turn all lights and power-run objects off at the wall when you're not using them
    • — Use laptops — they are 90 percent more efficient than desktop computers
